Drop in days continue to flourish

Since the drop in days started in July 2013 they have proved a real bonus for anyone affected by a life-limiting condition.

Our Drop in Day in The Scholl Centre continues to thrive with a new survivorship programme being added to the list of programmes from January 2015. Since the drop in days started in July 2013 they have proved a real bonus for anyone affected by a life-limiting condition.

Drop in any Monday or Thursday to Hospice from 10.30am-6.30pm. We also run a children and young person’s drop in service is also available every Thursday from 3.30pm-5.30pm. This will be held in Jade’s Place (at Hospice).

In addition Hospice, in conjunction with Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital League of Friends, also run a drop in day in Ramsey every Wednesday from 10.30am-6.30pm in the Town Hall, Parliament Square, Ramsey.

All these services will enable people affected by life-limiting illnesses to access specialist and timely information and support about benefits, medication, emotional support, carer support from Clinical Nurse Specialist, Psychotherapist, Counsellors and complementary therapists or signposting to different appropriate professionals.

Survivorship initiative and supported by Macmillan Cancer Support literature to enable people at the end of their hospital treatment to manage the ongoing physical and emotional effects of cancer.
