OSKAR’S DREAMS CONTINUE TO HELP REBECCA HOUSE

Oskar’s Dreams continue to support Rebecca House presenting a number of cheques to staff at Hospice Isle of Man’s children’s unit, Rebecca House.

A sum of £7,500 was donated towards the salary of a part-time assistant social worker.  The social worker is required to provide a huge amount of support to the children and their families, from when the child is diagnosed with a life-limiting illness through the initial assessment at home and onto to issues such as dealing with finances, housing, psycho-social care and benefits to ensure every aspect of support is given. They will also offer a wide range of help and guidance, not only during the illness, but through end of life and bereavement support.

Two further cheque presentations of £1,500 and £700 were made to cover various educational costs for Hospice staff.

Chief Executive Margaret Simpson expressed her gratitude to Oskar’s Dreams for their continued support and kind donations.
