Hospice Isle of Man 40th Anniversary

Hospice Isle of Man is now an integral part of Island life, having been established 40 years ago in 1983.

In the first year of operation Hospice was able to offer support and care to 103 people in their own home. By 2021 that figure had risen to 580 people receiving specialist palliative and end of life care in a place of their choice, whether that be home, hospital or our own In Patient Unit.

We know there are around 900 deaths on the Island every year. We provide direct care for approximately 40%, at the time of their death. Of course the care we provide doesn’t stop with the patient, we are proud that our support services also extend to those who matter to the patient, even past the time of death. Hospice Isle of Man truly is a charity that belongs to everyone in the community.

Caring for our community for the last 40 years has been a privilege. With your support, we can be here for the next 40 years and beyond.
