There are presently no confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in the Isle of Man and the risk to the public remains low. Public Health England (PHE) is leading the response to the outbreak and Hospice Isle of Man is following and implementing current PHE guidance. This guidance is updated daily to reflect the rapidly evolving situation. Further information can be obtained from the Isle of Man Government website and Hospice UK.
At present, there is no impact to any of our services. However, as we are currently in the containment phase of the outbreak and given the type of care Hospice provides, we ask that anyone who plans to visit either Hospice at Strang or Hospice at Southlands, that is displaying symptoms having returned from an affected area as listed on the Public Health England website or, has had direct contact with someone known to have tested positive for COVID-19, should call their GP/MEDS.
