Superheroes don’t fly… they walk!

Join us on Saturday 22nd September 2018 for our ever popular annual Midnight Walk, in partnership with 3FM.

Starting at 9.30pm at the NSC, we will be taking to the roads once again on a brand new route with a great new theme. So grab your cape, mask and super power and get walking. Complete the walk as a family or a group of friends, in memory of or alongside your very own superhero! There is a minimum age of 10 years as the walk covers almost 4 miles.

The Midnight Walk 2018 T&Cs must be read by all participants before taking place in this Hospice Isle of Man event. It gives important information and is a key part of the terms of participation.

What’s the route?

To celebrate our 35th year journey, the walk will take us out of the NSC, along Peel road, turning left onto Circular Road and up to the junction that will take us onto Bucks Road. This will take us past 2 Sydney Mount, where a few rooms were first rented to act as an administration centre for Hospice when it all began 35 years ago. We will then head up Bucks Road, past one of our 7 Hospice Shops before going past St Bridget’s, which in 1988 opened its doors to our first in-patients. Continuing on, we will go left onto Alexander Drive, and straight down to the Quarterbridge, before making our way towards our finishing point at our current home in Strang. The route will be around 4 miles once completed.

If you would like to take part in the walk, but don’t think you could do the full 4 miles, you can join us as we head through Quarterbridge and up towards Hospice. You can meet us at the NSC at 11pm and we will merge with the other walkers for the last leg of the route.

What should I wear?

Dress up as your favourite superhero! Get your masks, capes, tights and Lycra to walk in. We provide you with a superhero mask upon signing on, so feel free to wear this. We will also be selling merchandise on the evening near the sign in table to help you accessorise.

What’s included in the ticket price?

All walkers will receive a free mask upon arrival! Upon finishing the walk at Hospice, there will be refreshments provided for all participants, including a delicious cupcake and drink. We will also invite you to leave a message on our hero wall.

Where can I park?

Parking will be available at the NSC overflow car parks near the start point, as well as at Hospice IOM and Vagabonds Rugby Club near the finish point.

Who should I contact if I need more information?

If you have any questions on any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact the Hospice Marketing team at Hospice on 647433 or email fundraising@hospice.org.im.

Tickets are available to purchase on the evening, just head over to our new registration gazebo next to the outdoor track, at the NSC.
