How it works:
Register below to let us know that you'd like to have your Christmas tree collected, registrations close at 12pm on Monday 30th December 2019
We will then pass on your details to Isle of Man Post Office who then plan the routes for collections, your tree will then be collected on Sunday 5th January 2020
A very generous, willing group of over 30 volunteers from Isle of Man Post Office will drive around in the Post Office vans collecting the trees, make sure yours is left in your garden, or just outside your house before 6am on Sunday 5th January 2020
Your trees are then taken to Tel’s Ltd where they are stored in large bins and put through their shredder
Finally, the shredded trees get passed to Ballaneven who turn them into compost, some of which we then get back to use in our beautiful gardens here at Hospice
Here at Hospice Isle of Man we currently receive approximately £600k in funding from the DHSC, and we need to fundraise approximately £4.5 million each year in order to meet our £5million plus running costs. This is so we can continue to deliver all of our services completely free of charge to our service users, patients and those that matter to them. Your donation towards our Christmas Tree Recycling Service helps us to ensure we can continue to do this in order to be sustainable and fit for the future.
