June – Celebration Update

Each month we hold a celebration event to show our appreciation to those of you that support us with generous donations and fundraising efforts. This month we were joined by, and would like to thank, the following people:

James Cahill & Savahanna

Successfully completed the Liverpool ‘Rock ‘n Roll’ Marathon on Sunday 20th May. They completed the run in 4 hours 44 minutes and raised a £420 – Rock on, guys!

Jake Hodgson

Amazing support from this young 13 year old, who walked the 100 mile Raad By Foillan coastal path! Jake completed the walk in just 2.5 days in memory for his Granddad who attended Hospice and raised a staggering £7150 for Rebecca house Children’s Hospice in the process.

Matt Quine

Matt faced the big chop and decided to donate his long locks to Little Princess Trust. A fantastic £375 was raised through sponsorship for Hospice too, thank you Matt.

Sue Doodson & Sarah Anstey

Attended the celebration event on behalf of Royal Bank of Scotland International, who held a TT BBQ whilst raising £1050 as part of their ‘Go Yellow’ campaign for Hospice.

Rosanna Andrew

Raised £500 by swimming the length of the TT course in Peel Swimming Pool in memory of her late brother, Christopher Scott.

Keira Gray, Maisie Halsall, Georgie Boyd & Lena Coole

These innovative year 8 Ballakermeen students held a cake sale in May which raised £100 – great work!

Will Watterson

Successfully completed the Edinburgh Marathon for Hospice in 6 hours 7 minutes in May and raised a whopping £750!

Jackie Daly, Jaime Amedo, Angela Robson & Julie McClelland

Members of HSBC IOM took part in the 3 Island Walking Challenge – the team took on the Isle of Man leg in May walking 25 miles in total. The walk raised £260 and this will be matched by HSBC. In total a £520 was raised – amazing efforts from everyone!”
