Touch Hunger

Touch Hunger

The skin is a sensory organ that is designed to receive touch. Humans have a need for touch, both emotionally and physically. Where there is a shortage of kind, well-intentioned touch, a phenomenon known as ‘touch hunger’ may result.

Touch Hunger

During times of isolation or distancing from others for whatever reason many of us may experience this. We miss the everyday contact of a handshake or hug.

The Soothing Butterfly Hug can calm and rebalance the nervous system and lessen intense emotions and symptoms of stress.
