Spiritual care is an integral part of the care that we provide and is offered to patients, families and carers regardless of faith, religion or beliefs.
Our chaplaincy and pastoral care team works closely with faith groups in the community and welcomes representatives of patients' own churches and faiths.
Our Pastoral care team can help you to:
We offer a variety of services, such as anointing for wholeness, a service of confession and reconciliation, sacrament of the sick or simple prayer either by the bed or in the chapel. Our team can also assist in organising special occasions such as marriage, blessing, thanksgivings, renewal of vows, baptisms, dedications and confirmations as the need arises.
The team are happy to discuss end of life care with you, and assist you and your family to plan your funeral in the way you wish. We can also liaise with local priests, pastors or humanists.
Our Chapel is open 24 hours a day for anyone to use as a place for peace and quiet, a place to reflect, to light a candle, to request prayer in our prayer book, to pray or just simply sit.
Regular service of Holy Communion is held every Tuesday and a short time of prayer and meditation at 10.30am.
