PALLIATIVE CARE CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST

BAND 7

37.5 hours per week

£37,740 - £49,613

We need an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team providing expert Specialist Palliative Care advice, support, and information to patients and those who matter to them. Working in a in an integrated care setting and actively promoting Specialist Palliative Care in the hospice, hospital and community through education, audit and research.

Using your expert knowledge and experience, you will manage patients proactively by anticipating changes to their physical, psychosocial and/ or psychological well-being and will implement any appropriate actions that may be required at numerous times during the day.

You will act as a role model demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical leadership to others. Collaborating with members of the Hospice Research Team, and contributing to research based projects on behalf of the organisation

Delivering Care Using an Integrated Approach

A key challenge for the candidate will be to continually promote a partnership approach with team members and external stakeholders to make sure that we deliver care and support that ‘wraps around’ our patients and those who are important to them.

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE

37.5 Hours per week 

SALARY BAND:    £26,000 - £31,000

To support Hospice in delivering our strategic goals through income generation, raising awareness of our services and telling the ‘Much More Than A Building’ story.

To plan and deliver integrated marketing communications across multiple channels that are appropriately positioned for our target audiences.

The post holder should have experience working in a busy and dynamic marketing environment.

The post holder will need to work closely with the CEO, Head of Marketing, the Marketing Team and many other stakeholders, they will also line manage the Marketing Officer.

This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills, a people focussed outlook and creative flare.

PALLIATIVE CARE SOCIAL WORK ASSISTANT

22.5 Hours per week (permanent)

SALARY BAND:    £20,889 - £27,008 (Pro Rata)

You will provide support and work closely with the Palliative Care Social Worker to work with patients and families as part of the multidisciplinary team providing a holistic approach.  Liaising closely with other team members (Community Nursing Specialists) to help deliver and contribute to the effective development of the Hospice Social Work Team.

The ideal candidate will have a Social care qualification or similar above NVQ Level II.

You will work within the hospice, hospital and community setting, offering support, discharge planning and advocacy to patients diagnosed with a life limiting illness. A high level of organisational co-ordination will be needed and you must possess excellent communication skills both verbally and written with the ability to prioritise a competing and demanding workload.
