As people continue to favour card payments over cash, our new contactless donation boxes make your fundraising efforts to support us easier than ever. We’ve partnered with LibertyPay and Tapforchange, the leading experts in charity payments, to introduce a new safe and secure way for you to make donations to us, even when you don’t have any cash.
Our contactless donation boxes are perfect for whatever way you are collecting for us – whether it’s at a fundraising event or reception desk, or by the entrance to your venue or shop. We have a range of static and portable solutions to make your amazing fundraising efforts as easy as possible. Of course, our traditional cash collection boxes are also available for those people who would prefer to give a cash donation.
The contactless donation boxes are very easy to use. We’ll supply the equipment already set-up and ready to go, so all you have to do is turn it on and start collecting donations straightaway via contactless debit/credit cards, ApplePay or GooglePay.
The boxes work in exactly the same way as a card payment machine and use a GPRS signal to securely send each donation transaction to us, automatically.
We can pre-set up to four separate donation amounts of between £2 and £30 for each box, and the person making the contactless donation simply has to use the arrow button on the box to choose their preferred donation amount.
We are so very grateful to people like you who choose to raise vital funds for Hospice Isle of Man. Without you, we would not be able to continue to offer our services to patients, their families and carers, free of charge.
Here are some examples of how and where you could help us by using our contactless donation boxes.
With fewer people than ever carrying cash and spare change, our contactless donation boxes are a great way to supplement traditional collection tins and buckets.
Councils and Local Authorities can partner with us to create giving points at busy areas around the Island enabling visitors to Tap2Donate to raise vital funds for Hospice.
Point of sale and counters provide immediacy for contactless donations due to the customer already having their card out. By choosing to partner with Hospice and having our contactless donation boxes at your point of sale or counter, you and your customers are going that extra mile to help us.
Our contactless donation boxes don’t just need to be used to receive small donations – they can take up to £30 per tap. This makes them perfectly placed to be used at fundraising dinners, events or even business awards parties who are supporting Hospice – whether it’s at the bar, on the tables or even in the cloakroom.
We can work with you to implement something a little bit novel to make your fantastic fundraising activities in aid of Hospice a little bit different.* What about lighting up a Christmas tree every time a donation is made? Or setting off a model train that completes a loop of the track for every donation made? You could even have a celebrity voice say “thank you” from a life-size cardboard cut-out! Our creativity can certainly generate many innovative ways to thank your donors for giving to Hospice by giving them an experience they won’t forget!
Have you seen one of our Tap2Donate contactless donation points in a shop or our Strand Street Douglas or Onchan shop window? The response from our Island community has been amazing but we still need your support to help us continue helping those who need us.
