Thank you Celebrations – August

Thank you celebrations and presentations

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated time and raised funds for Hospice and Rebecca House during the Month of August. It was a pleasure having everyone up at Hospice, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all your hard work and support.

Peaky Finders

George Rawlinson, Shaun Kelly, Jordan Kelly, Jamie Callister, Christian Penswick and Michael Valerga  bravely took on and completed the 3 peaks challenge on August 11th. After receiving the Hospice Isle of Man fundraising Baton, the team completed the challenge in 20 hours and 41 minutes, raising an incredible £5,456 which will be split amongst 3 very lucky charities, including Hospice Isle of Man and Rebecca House.

Sarah Robinson

Sarah did an incredible job photographing our Hospice Summer Ball – “A nod to the 80’s” and volunteered her time and services to do so. The photographs really capture the enjoyment had by all and we are so pleased with the results.

Marks & Spencer

Marks & Spencer have chosen Rebecca House as the charity they wish to support this year and have kindly offered us a number of bag packing slots. Store manager Matt Robinson represented M&S as we thanked them for this, following our first bag packing session which successfully raised £1,400.

Back to the 80’s

Centre Stage Productions are great supporters of Hospice, and with their upcoming show “Back to the 80’s” fast approaching, the group were delighted to showcase some of their production at our Summer ball – “A nod to the 80’s”. The performance gave a mix of 80’s hits, with some incredible singing, dancing and high standard performances. “Break a leg” to all at Centre Stage Productions, we’ve certainly got our tickets!

Juan Moore

Another fantastic act who volunteered their time for our Summer ball was Juan Moore. Juan performed some intriguing magical acts for our guests during the welcome drinks reception, and left many of us guessing just how he did it! Magical!

Andrew Cronin

Andrew provided a Formula 1 car as an attraction for our stand at the Royal Show. Along with this Andrew was also so generous in donating 2 Formula 1 go kart replicas for us to use in a prize competition draw. The karts were fantastic and have really helped us to raise awareness for Hospice and Rebecca House.
