Thought Journal

A Journal to help manage emotional health and wellbeing

The Thought Journal is a support aid that was written by two sixth form students, Mary Podmore and Alex Ollier, as a part of their Junior Achievement project, ‘Free Your Mind’ in 2016. The journal encourages users to self-reflect and set goals, whilst also providing guidance on living with problems such as stress, anxiety, or bullying.

We were so impressed with the journal that we have decided to make it available to Hospice patients, their families and carers to help them manage their emotional health and well-being.

Many hours of research and advice from professionals has informed the journal’s content, which includes relaxing “colour-me-in” pages, hand-drawn by Mary. The journal also contains “quotes of the day” set to inspire, motivate and uplift the user as they work through the journal.

“Start everyday with new hope, leave bad memories behind and have faith in a better tomorrow.”
Kindly sponsored by Contractor Service Group, the journals will be available to our service users later this month.
