Yes. All sessions are freestyle, so participants can dance however they like.
Some sessions may include line-dance tracks or guided movement, and early-morning slots will feature exercise class instructors leading optional routines, but there is no compulsory participation at any point. You are free to join in, adapt movements, or simply move at your own pace.
There will be a 10 minute rest session at the end of every 50 minutes. Reminder that all movement counts, even chair dancing. This is about participation, not performance.
Absolutely. You don’t need any dance experience at all. The event is designed to be inclusive, welcoming and judgement-free, whether you dance confidently or just shuffle along.
You can take part in a single session or multiple sessions—it’s entirely up to you. Some participants will drop in for a three-hour slot, while others will take on longer challenges. Each three-hour session must be booked separately at a cost of £10, unless you're competing in the 12-hour Team Challenge or as a 24-Hour Hero, in which case minimum fundraising amounts apply.
No. Only participants signed up as 24-Hour Heroes are committing to the full 24-hour challenge. Most people take part for a shorter period, such as a single (or more) three-hour session or the 12-hour Team Challenge. You can choose the level of participation that suits you best.
The event is open to a wide age range, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Some sessions are more family-friendly (daytime slots), while others are geared towards adults.
Comfort is key. Wear comfortable clothing and trainers suitable for light movement. You’re welcome to dress up for themed sessions, but it’s optional.
No. Sessions range from gentle movement to higher-energy dancing, and everything can be adapted. You’re encouraged to listen to your body and participate in a way that feels right for you.
This is a dance-led fundraising event, not a party night. The Loft's bar will be open for alcohol sales from 6pm on Friday until 2am on Saturday morning, and soft drinks, including energy drinks, will be available at all times. Participation in dancing does not involve alcohol, and responsible behaviour is expected throughout.
Yes. Supporters are very welcome to cheer participants on, enjoy the atmosphere and donate, even if they don’t dance themselves. Tickets can be booked online for £10 per session.
Some challenges or participation levels involve a fundraising target, while others simply encourage donations. Fundraising pages are set up automatically during registration to make things easy.
There will be rest areas, refreshments and energy-boosting snacks, toilets and first aid support available throughout the event. Wetherspoons The Conister Arms is open from 8am to midnight for meals and snacks.
We understand plans change. You can leave early or miss a session, and fundraising already raised will still support the cause. If you can’t attend at all, your donation remains valid.
All funds raised support the Expedition Limitless campaign to raise £200,000 for Rebecca House Children's Hospice and The Children's Centre - two vital children's charities on the Isle of Man. The fundraising target for this event is £25,000.
Each session has a theme, mood or energy level, with DJs or instructors shaping the vibe.
Yes. Corporates, clubs, families and friends can participate in the 12-Hour Team Challenge from 6pm on Friday to 6am on Saturday, making it a great opportunity for workplaces, clubs and community groups to take part together. The fundraising commitment is £750 for the Team Challenge, which can be a mix of fundraising and matched giving by employers in the case of corporate teams. Teams consist of four members, and one member of the team must be dancing at any one time throughout the 12 hours. Supporters can join team members for three-hour sessions by registering online for the £10 entry fee per session.
