At Hospice Isle of Man we believe in more than just providing comfort in the final stages of life; we are dedicated to helping you to live well, your way, to the end of your life. We make the difference by offering a holistic philosophy of care that addresses not only the physical symptoms of patients but also their emotional, spiritual, and social needs.

We have been the experts in specialist palliative and end of life care for over 40 years. Our multidisciplinary team, comprised of skilled professionals and volunteers, works tirelessly 24 hours a day to ensure that your unique needs and wishes are honoured, fostering a sense of peace, dignity, and fulfilment.

We are committed to providing a well co-ordinated, flexible and personal care plan and extend our services beyond our walls, delivering personalised care to any place you call home. Whether it's your home, nursing facility, or within a community setting. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals will ensure that your carers and our care partners are equipped with the skills that will help provide you with a better end of life.

Our Services

In-patient Unit (IPU)

Providing specialist palliative care to patients who have complex symptoms, require respite care or have chosen Hospice for their end of life care. Our senior doctors, registered nurses and healthcare assistants all have expertise in palliative care.


Community Nursing & Hospice at Home

Our Community Nurse Specialists can visit you at home, in nursing homes, residential homes and hospitals to provide advice and educational support. Our Hospice at Home Nurses enable you to be cared for in the comfort of your own home.


Day Therapy Unit

Supporting you to remain independent by encouraging you to stay well for as long as possible, living life to the full within the limits set by illness. Our team will work with you to set goals and agree an appropriate plan of care.


Psychological Support

Our Psychological Support Team are skilled in assessing your difficulties and working with you, to meet your needs and assist you in overcoming any emotional challenges you or your loved ones may face.



Our Lymphoedema Clinic offers advice and expert treatment. Patients are mostly seen in the
clinic at Hospice Isle of Man, but treatment may also be offered in hospital or in a community setting.



Offering occupational therapy, physiotherapy and a rehabilitation support, our rehabilitation service is here to help you adapt to your condition, maximise physical function and become as independent as possible.


Chaplaincy Team

Spiritual care and support is available to all patients families and carers, regardless of your faith or religion.


Bereavement Support

Support from Hospice does not stop once a loved one has died; it simply extends itself to family and friends and aims to help them adjust to a new way of living.


Your Hospice, Your Way

Your Hospice, Your Way aims to bring Hospice influenced care to the community, and create a flexible service that can be tailored to suit your needs. The Drop In is led and delivered by a team of professionals and is continually reviewed, evaluated and improved.


Complementary Therapies

Our relaxing range of treatments are available to all patients, family members and carers who are stressed or bereaved. Treatments on offer include aromatherapy, massage, aromaflexology, acupuncture, cognitive relaxation, and reiki.


Elaine's Coffee Shop

Serving tea, coffee, snacks and hot food Monday-Friday, Elaine's Coffee Shop provides a nice environment for patients and service users to meet and recharge with friends and family.

Young Person's Support Service

Our Young Person’s Support Service provides psychological and bereavement support to people under 21 years of age, sessions are one to one and the service can be used pre and post-bereavement.


Admiral Nurses

Admiral Nurses provide the specialist dementia support that families need.


Creative Wellness Service

Hospice offers Creative Wellbeing Sessions to patients, their relatives or careers, led by our Creative Arts Coordinator, with the aim to provide a relaxed, non-judgemental creative space for both adults and children whom wish to express themselves artistically and boost overall wellness.
