Hospice Chef and Elaine’s Café Supervisor

The Chef and Elaine’s Café Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of Hospice’s on-site café, ensuring it is welcoming, well organised, financially aware, and provides excellent service to staff, visitors, volunteers, patients and families. The role includes leading and supporting café-related tasks such as service standards, stock control, ordering, cashing up, food hygiene, allergen management and volunteer coordination.

Alongside the café supervisory responsibilities, the postholder will work in partnership as one of a team of two Chefs and a Catering Assistant, sharing responsibility for a seven-day rota to prepare and deliver high-quality, nutritious and well-presented meals for Hospice patients and their families. The role requires a compassionate and flexible approach, recognising the importance of food, choice, dignity and comfort within a hospice environment.

Hospice Care for a Drink coffee van

Commercial & Patient Catering Manager

We are looking for a Catering Leader who is an experienced, commercially minded and people focused for a unique role providing practical hands on and strategic leadership across Hospice’s Catering Services.

You will lead the multi-talented team across our Hospice sites providing patient and family meals, our two fundraising cafes and our Hospice ‘Care for a Drink’ coffee van. You will also be responsible for finding and delivering new commercial catering opportunities so that we can continue to turn profit into patient care.

You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic person with excellent leadership skills who is focussed on maximising catering-related income generation opportunities, whilst embodying the Hospice Isle of Man’s values and mission.

If you are passionate about providing great food for our patients, families and staff, whilst driving the commercial success of Hospice’s catering operation then this could be the role for you!
