Our in-patient unit offers 24-hour specialist palliative and end-of-life care, focused on preserving independence and dignity within a compassionate and supportive setting.
People may come to stay with us to help manage complex symptoms before returning home, to receive rehabilitation that supports continued independent living, or for end-of-life care when their condition has progressed.
The in-patient unit has been thoughtfully designed to provide comfort, privacy, and flexibility. Each room overlooks the Hospice gardens and offers a calm, safe, and welcoming space where patients and their loved ones can spend meaningful time together. Our experienced nursing team delivers high-quality, individualised care, attending to both medical needs and overall wellbeing.
Our In-Patient Unit
Our in-Patient Unit has been designed to provide a homely atmosphere and has 10 single rooms and a step-down suite. Each room features its own en-suite bathroom, a covered patio opening onto the gardens, and everything patients need to feel comfortable and at home.

Visiting information
As part of our holistic approach to care, we warmly welcome visits from relatives and friends to patients staying in our in-patient unit. Close family members and next of kin may visit at any time, in line with the patient's wishes, while other visitors are invited to attend between 2pm and 8pm daily.
We kindly ask patients and visitors to be mindful of the privacy and comfort of others. A number of shared spaces are available for spending time with family and friends, along with a dedicated sanctuary for peaceful reflection.

Meals
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper are all provided and all food is lovingly prepared in our kitchens by our wonderful catering team.
You can select choices on the menu or request an alternative meal if you prefer. Meals can also be provided for two close family members, friends or carers.
Lunch is served between 12.30 and 1.30pm and dinner is served between 5.00 and 6.00pm.
Visitors can access refreshments in the Braddan Lounge, for something more substantial Elaine's Café is open Monday to Friday and serves a selection of hot and cold food plus snacks and drinks.
The care at Hospice was exceptional and made his remaining time with us the best it could be. Our world was turned upside down, but the Hospice facilities and quality of care meant it was the most peaceful place I could have wished for.

Referrals can be made by any health care professional involved in your care.
No, self referrals are not accepted. Please contact your GP or current care provider to ask about referral to Hospice Isle of Man.
Priority will be given to those in the last few days/hours of life. We aim to respond within 24 hours for urgent referrals. For non-urgent referrals, we will aim to respond within four working days.
No. Hospice care is free for patients and families in the Isle of Man and mainly funded through charitable donations and fundraising.
