Vicky Wilson - Head of Children, Young People, In Patient Services and Therapies

Vicky is the manager of Rebecca House, and has worked at Rebecca House since 2007. She has recently taken on the role of Head of Children’s and Young People’s Services; Vicky is a registered children’s nurse, has a post graduate diploma in palliative care, a masters in professional practice and teaches moving and handling within Hospice.

Aly Moore – Senior Nurse

Aly is one of the senior nurses in Rebecca House, Aly has worked in Rebecca House since 2010 and she is a registered children’s nurse, gaining her qualification in 2010 from Edge Hill university.  Aly teaches moving and handling within Hospice and is the lead for pre and post bereavement care within Rebecca House.

Lauren Harrison – Senior Nurse

Lauren is one of the senior nurses in Rebecca House, she received her degree at Sheffield University gaining a dual qualification as a Learning Disabilities nurse and a registered social worker; Lauren began working in Rebecca House in 2015 and is the lead for transitional care.

Kennedy Lawler - Senior Nurse 

Kennedy is one of the senior nurses in Rebecca House and she is a qualified Learning Disabilities Nurse, gaining her qualification in 2018 from Edinburgh Napier University. Kennedy has been a member of the Rebecca House Team since 2019 and her role within the team includes being the lead of infection control, health and safety and quality assurance, she is also helps to organise and run the sibling groups.

Geraldine McLaughlin – Nursery Nurse

Geraldine has a diploma in nursery nursing; she worked within the nursery setting and began providing care and respite for children and families through the Children's Hospice at Home service before Rebecca House opened in 2007. Within Rebecca House Geraldine is an amazing nursery nurse and she also works within the Young Person’s Support Service providing counselling and support making Geraldine an expert within Rebecca House with counselling and bereavement; within the Young Person’s Support Service Geraldine provides psychological and bereavement support sessions to patients, siblings of Rebecca House patients or relations to adult Hospice patients under 21 years of age.

Kirree Norton – Nursery Nurse

Kirree has a diploma in nursery nursing, she began working with children who had additional needs within education. She began to provide care and respite for children and families through the Children’s Hospice at Home Service before Rebecca House opened in 2007. Kirree attends yearly Lifelites conferences to keep up to date with all the latest technology that could benefit children with life-limiting, life-threatening and disabling conditions, she also helps to organise and run the “stay and Play” toddler sibling group.

Jen Cowin – Senior HCA

Jen has a diploma in nursery nursing and worked within the school environment before joining Rebecca House in 2013, Jen has a level 3 NVQ in health and social care and is an incredible artist; Jen also helps to organise and run the sibling groups.

Lisa Kelly - Senior HCA

Lisa has a Level 3 NVQ in Health and social care and has worked in Rebecca House since 2021 and is always very keen to learn and expand her knowledge; within Rebecca House Lisa assists the senior nurse with infection control and health and safety is leads the organisation and running of the sibling groups.

Maggie Ashton - HCA

Margie has a diploma in nursery nursing; she worked within the nursery setting prior to Rebecca House and decided to have a career change in 2022 and joined the team as a health care assistant providing care and respite for children and families; Margie is passionate about learning through play, she is always keen to encourage the children to do arts and crafts and she helps to organise and run the “stay and play” toddler sibling group.
