Formal Opening of Tevir Centre

On Friday 18th June 2021, we were delighted to host the formal opening of The Tevir Centre here at Hospice!

The centre was opened by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, with the Chief Minister Howard Quayle and the Mayor of Douglas Councillor Jonathan Joughin JP also in attendance. The newly refurbished building is now focused on providing greater independence, privacy and dignity to all those that are cared for.

Her Royal Highness Princess Anne who officially opened our building in 2008 continued to show her support by sending a personal message in honour of the occasion.

“I would like to offer my congratulations on the successful refurbishment of the Hospice Isle of Man building and facilities… With the support of a range of local sponsors and an expert project team, you have achieved a wonderful result – with well adapted and updated facilities for patients, their families and friends, staff members and volunteers.”

Hospice Isle of Man are grateful for the support that it has and continues to receive, and would like to thank everyone who played a part in the enhancement project helping them to continue making a life-changing difference to our Island's community.
