July Celebrations 2019

Thank you to everyone who attended July’s Celebration Afternoon for those who have raised money for Hospice and Rebecca House – It’s fantastic to see so many faces.

 

We were joined by Peter Kelly from Clay Pigeon Shooting after their very successful event for Hospice in which they raised over £2000 which brings their total to over £20,000 raised over the years.

 

Some on the team from Bacchas Hockey Club committed to raising a whopping £6,000 for Rebecca House as well as another £6,000 over the next 3 years.

 

We were also joined by the Vintage Motorcycling Club for donated a very generous £750 so are from various fundraisers for their chosen charity, this time round was Hospice.

 

Denise Johnson held a Karaoke night at the Prospect Pub in Douglas on July 5th for Hospice; the total came to a brilliant £657.17.

 

HSBC also joined us for their beautiful work volunteering in the Hospice gardens.

 

The team from ADRA gave their very generous annual donation to Rebecca House of £1000 through door-to-door collections on the IOM.

 

Frances age 10 and Amber age 8 agreed to grow their hair so this can be donated to the Little Princess Trust. They had their hair cut on the 29th of June and raised a total of £618.92 which would be shared equally by The Rebecca House and The Manx Wildlife Trust.

 

Madina Sharpe from the Onchan Elim Church Held a week long flower festival to raise a very respectable £143.71 for Rebecca House.

 

2 of our amazing Parish Walkers joined us on Friday for us to say a massive thank you and well done to them for taking part in the tough challenge; congratulations to Matthew Bridson and Paul Hartnoll.

 

Jim Manuel held a Filipino Music Night on Friday, 14th June 2019 at the Vagabonds Rugby Club, Ballafletcher Road. The proceeds from the raffle as part of the event raised a fabulous £327.72 and went directly to Hospice.

 

Thank you once again to everyone who could be in attendance so we can personally meet you, shake your hands and to say a personal thank you. Hospice and Rebecca House wouldn’t exist without your invaluable support.
