May Celebrations

Another successful celebration event!

Thank you to everyone for attending this month and for your kind donations, it was brilliant to hear all about your efforts  and get to thank you in person:

We were joined by Simon and Sharon Mellor with their daughter Olivia, who raised a whopping £1,400.00 for Oskar’s Dreams/Remember Jade and Rebecca House by swimming the length of the TT – talk about a real life little mermaid! Thank you also to Dawn Herbert who could also be in attendance for this special afternoon.

Each year Roc Vannin Choir chooses a charity for which they raise funds throughout the year and this year the choir have chosen Hospice Isle of Man as nominated charity. Thank you to all involved and we look forward to hearing about your progress in the months to come!

A big thank you to Mrs Rebecca Bovenizer for her amazing donation of £1,255.00! Rebecca raised money for her 50th Birthday by donating to Hospice in lieu of gifts - what a lovely gesture.

Sophie Nathan, Max Bridson, Deacon Lombard-Chibnall & Kaellum Bean hosted a 7-a-side rugby tournament for years 11-13 on the 16th of April at Douglas Rugby Club. There was a raffle, BBQ food for sale and a bucket collection. We were lucky enough to be joined by Sophie and Max for their kind donation of £273.61 to Hospice. Fantastic effort from everyone, we can’t thank you enough!

Last but certainly not least, we were joined by our Marathon Runners Peter Brown, Ralph Haslett, Steven Quayle, Amy Lace. This year we had 6 people taking part in the London Marathon, including David Bushe and Eric Lee, who couldn’t be in attendance on Friday. The runners pledged to raise £1500 each for Hospice and following their individual efforts, since October they have collectively raised £16,884.42! Truly spectacular work!
