Rachel Lee supports Hospice in Liverpool Half Marathon

Well done to one of our incredible fundraisers; Rachel Lee who ran the Liverpool Half Marathon in support of us.

Rachel suffered a personal health set back early in 2021 and following her recovery journey as a seasoned runner she set herself the challenge of running the Liverpool Half Marathon! Rachel has been a volunteer for Hospice for over 15 years and gets to see first hand the challenges that Hospice face, so decided to further incentivise the challenge by raising funds for Hospice.

Rachel said, "Thank you to those that sat with me when I could not sit up, kept me motivated through numerous zoom calls, hugged me when I needed it most, walked with me when that was the initial challenge and then those who ran with me when I literally never thought it would happen again. I'm back in control of my new life now, and time now to help those less fortunate receive excellent palliative care when they need it."

This inspirational lady raised £1419.40!

Rachel's funds will go towards helping us to support our patients to make sure they are #inagoodplace to die this Dying Matters Awareness Week 2022.
