We are delighted to announce Samantha Barks: A Candlelit Concert for Hospice, a fundraising event taking place at the Gaiety Theatre on Friday 27 November 2026.
Sponsored by Ramsey Crookall, the concert will offer an intimate evening of music and storytelling with one of the Isle of Man’s most celebrated performers. All proceeds will support the work of Hospice Isle of Man.
Joanna Crookall, CEO of Ramsey Crookall, said: “This is a very special event for Island audiences, and we are delighted to support it. Samantha’s return to the Gaiety Theatre will create a memorable evening of music for the whole family. As Ramsey Crookall celebrates its 80th year, supporting events that bring the community together and raise vital funds for important local causes feels especially meaningful. Hospice Isle of Man provides invaluable, free-of-charge care to those who need it most, and we are proud to support their work.”
Samantha approached Hospice Isle of Man directly after learning about the charity’s ongoing funding needs. She said: “The Isle of Man is, and always has been, my home, my calm in the storm, and my favourite place in the world!
When I heard that the hospice was in need of support, I really wanted to help in any way I could. I feel that the hospice staff are heroes, and the compassion, care, and dignity they provide to people is a truly beautiful thing.
I thought it would be a lovely idea to bring my cathedral show to the Isle of Man in support of the hospice. I really loved my time on my cathedral tour last year and felt that I got to know each audience in a special and different way through our conversations. Every night was a completely unique experience! My set list will take us on a journey through the roles I have played, and I will be taking questions throughout the evening, which I have found really helps shape each performance in its own unique way!”
Vanessa Smith, Head of Income Generation at Hospice Isle of Man, said: “We are deeply honoured that Samantha has offered to perform in support of Hospice Isle of Man. It is an incredibly kind and generous gesture that will help us continue providing compassionate, specialist care to our patients and their families during some of life’s most difficult times. Samantha is a world‑class performer, and this heartfelt homecoming concert promises to be a truly memorable evening for our community.”
Returning to her Island home for this one‑night performance, Samantha Barks will present highlights from her acclaimed UK tour, The Cathedral Tour, alongside songs from some of her most recognised stage and screen roles. Audiences can expect music from Oliver!, Les Misérables (stage and film), Frozen, and a selection of Disney favourites, creating an evening suitable for theatre and music lovers of all ages.
Fresh from her recent role as Charity Barnum in The Greatest Showman musical production, Samantha continues to establish herself as one of the most accomplished performers of her generation. Her decision to support Hospice Isle of Man through this homecoming concert will help raise vital funds to ensure the charity can continue providing specialist palliative and end‑of‑life care across the Island.
Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Thursday 25 June through the VillaGaiety Box Office.
