Hospice Isle of Man is delighted to announce that the 2025 BIG Corporate Challenge has raised an incredible £9,954.61 to support its essential patient care services across the Island.
Now in its second year, the event saw 18 corporate teams take on a series of inflatable obstacle challenges in an afternoon of energy, teamwork, and fundraising at Vagabonds Rugby Club on Wednesday 2nd July.
“This was our second year supporting the BIG Corporate Challenge and we’re incredibly proud to be part of it,” said Sue Hammett, International Head of CSR at Flutter International. “It’s a brilliant way for companies to connect outside of work while giving back to a truly vital local service. Our team had a fantastic time.”
Special thanks go to Flutter International for making the event possible. Flutter International has played a key role in supporting Hospice Isle of Man since 2023. Their ongoing sponsorship includes funding for the Hospice Care for a Drink coffee van, headline support for the inaugural Hospice Half Marathon, and backing for two editions of the BIG Corporate Challenge, helping to ensure the sustainability of some of Hospice’s most ambitious and impactful fundraising events.
Additional thanks go to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company for supporting the transport of two trucks and trailers full of equipment through its Manx Community Assistance Scheme. Thanks also to Douglas Fire Department for supplying the water for the challenges, Vagabonds Rugby Club for hosting the event, and the volunteers who supported the first-ever Hospice-run catering effort — helping to keep competitors well-fuelled while raising additional funds on the day.
“We are so grateful to every team, supporter, partner and volunteer who made this event possible,” said Vanessa Smith, Head of Income Generation at Hospice Isle of Man. “The support from our local business community has been outstanding. The funds raised will go directly toward delivering our 24/7, year-round care for patients and their families.”
