Flutter International Drives Innovation and Care at Hospice

Hospice Isle of Man has praised the impact of its partnership with Flutter International, which throughout 2025 has helped strengthen core care delivery while enabling the charity to think bigger about how it engages with the Island’s community.

The partnership has extended beyond financial support alone, encompassing employee involvement, event participation and long-term investment in sustainable fundraising initiatives all contributing to Hospice’s ability to deliver expert, compassionate care to Island families.

Among the key outcomes of the partnership was the launch of the inaugural Flutter International Hospice Half Marathon, a brand-new event for the Isle of Man. The race welcomed 366 runners and generated £22,567.25 for Hospice, creating a new flagship fundraising event with strong potential for future growth.

Flutter International also supported the BIG Corporate Challenge, which brought together 18 Island businesses in a shared fundraising effort, raising £9,745 for Hospice. Flutter additionally entered a team of 10 participants, demonstrating hands-on employee engagement.

Community connection has been further strengthened through support for Hospice’s Care for a Drink coffee van. Originally sponsored by Flutter in 2024, the partnership continued into 2025, helping the van become a visible, sustainable presence at workplaces and events across the Island,  providing new ways for people to support the charity. Within the coffee van, additional sponsorship of co-branded coffee cups, complete with QR codes linking directly to Hospice activity, removed a key operational cost while increasing awareness.

Most importantly, Flutter International’s funding has helped cover two specialist nursing roles, ensuring expert palliative and end-of-life care remains available, free of charge, to Island families every day of the year.

Says Sue Hammett, Head of CSR of Flutter International, “We are incredibly proud of our long term partnership with Hospice Isle of Man and it is so rewarding to see the difference our range of support is making, in particular the coffee van, which is providing an important source of sustainable income.  Hospice is a vital part of the Isle of Man community and our staff are passionate about our support.”

“The impact of the partnership has been felt across Hospice Isle of Man, supporting innovation, improving sustainability, and extending the charity’s reach into the community. Hospice Isle of Man would like to thank everyone at Flutter International for their meaningful support,” concludes Fiona Hatton, CEO of Hospice Isle of Man.
