Sold Out Hospice Golf Day Raises Over £16,000 for Patient Care!

Glorious blue skies and spectacular sea views set the scene for this year’s Hospice Charity Golf Day, held on Friday, 1st August at Rowany Golf Club, Port Erin. The event was a sell-out success, raising an impressive £16,990 to support patient care at Hospice Isle of Man. A field of 22 teams of four teed off in a Texas Scramble competition with a shotgun start, making for a lively and exciting tournament.

This year’s event welcomed Prospero Group as generous first-time sponsor and extended thanks to long-time supporters Rowany Golf Club and Agrimark for their continued generosity and involvement. Participants competed for top team and spot prizes, with first place going to the team led by Zoe Campbell. Second place was awarded to the team led by Peter Holt and third place went to Apricot Investments.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all participating teams for their enthusiasm and support: Agrimark, Apricot Investments, Atla Group (Hospice Team), Billy Kewley, Canaccord, Corlett Sons & Cowley Ltd, E&S Plumbing, Edgewater Associates Ltd, Hansard, Heron & Brearley, Jon Allen, Kennaugh & Skinner, Prospero, Robinsons, Rowany Golf Club, Suntera Global, Tower Insurance, Zeffyr Services, and Zoe Campbell.

The coveted Hickory Challenge, sponsored by Albion Knitwear — where players used traditional-style hickory clubs — added extra fun and flair, with Dan Williams ultimately taking home the Hickory honours.

Alongside the golf, the Golf Day raffle proved incredibly popular, with tickets selling fast for a chance to win coveted prizes including a BMX bike, Midea 2 Zone Air Fryer, a 4.5kg giant Toblerone, Moet & Chandon champagne, a Haribo hamper, golf merchandise, Agrimark vouchers, and much more.

The event also saw the exciting launch of the Hospice Tombola, with limited tickets (just 3,000 available) and major prizes including £5,000 cash and holiday vouchers. The draw will take place in October, giving supporters plenty of time to get involved.

This event is one of Hospice Isle of Man’s key annual fundraisers, and we are deeply grateful for the continued support of the local community in helping us provide essential care and compassion to patients and families across the Island.
