Swagelok Step Up Danceathon a great success!

£8,300 raised. 24 hours danced. Countless memories made!

The Swagelok Step Up Danceathon brought a full day and night of joy, movement and heart to the dancefloor — and what a 24 hours it was. There was laughter. There was sweat. There was an outdoor conga. There were generations dancing side by side. There was a minion. A dinosaur. Epic themed outfit changes. And there were moments that will be treasured for years to come.

Huge congratulations to our unstoppable 24-hour hero, Vicky Wilson, who danced non-stop (aside from well-earned comfort breaks and legendary costume changes). What a legend.

To our other 24-hour heroes, Heather McMahon and Bexs Owen - thank you for fighting a good fight and delivering an incredible 12 hours. Heather, our top fundraiser, raised an amazing £500!

Thank you to our Expedition Limitless champions - Pamela, John, Sue and Jess - and The Children’s Centre team - Bianca and Leah - for backing this bold idea and helping bring it to life.

To our corporate sponsors - Swagelok, Plan.com, Hansard and IQ-EQ - and our media partner 3FM: your support made this possible.

A very special thank you to Andy and Sheila Malone at The Bench for opening up the island’s most epic dance venue to us at short notice, providing the space, the team and the generosity of spirit that made the whole event sing.  Their staff were amazing, looking after us for the whole 24 hours.

To Mary O’Dea, Jill Crispin and Kate Bergquist for bringing the Night Fever energy, sunrise yoga calm, pilates beats and old skool aerobic vibes. To DJs Justine Needham, Neil Cowie and Ben Sowrey for keeping the dancefloor alive for a full 24 hours. Huge thanks also to the sponsors of prizes for our raffle – Nourish, The Conister Arms, The Claremont, JTC and individual donors.

And to every single person who showed up, whether for three hours or the full stretch, thank you. You stepped up for the Expedition Limitless campaign, supporting Rebecca House and The Children’s Centre, and you made something truly special happen.
