Hospice Happiness ‘Fund Raising Hike’ – Snaefell Summit to Laxey Prom Cake Trail
Join Ken from Walking.im and the Team at Hospice Isle of Man, including members of the ‘Happiness Hike’ 2026 ‘6 Lakes Challenge’ participants on a (mostly) downhill leisurely walk from the Islands highest point, the Summit of Snaefell to Laxey Prom.
Starting from Laxey Station MER Station, we take the tram to the summit, after a quick coffee and cake and loo break, we take a route down Snaefell and across the hills above the beautiful Laxey Valley, reaching Laxey Prom in about 3 hrs for more cake!
Total Milage 6.3 miles / 10.8 km
Total Walking Time approx. 3 hrs
Cost is £20pp to cover the Tram Cost to the Summit and the rest going toward our wonderful hospice and the ‘Happiness Hike’ fundraising event.
The walk will go ahead unless weather/route conditions are unsafe for the walk participants.
Please wear suitable footwear, ideally walking boots or trainers, and clothing to suit the weather on the day, including waterproofs. A small number of Dogs are permitted on the walk (due to Tram regulations), but all dogs must be kept on leads at all times during the walk due to hill sheep on the route and for the comfort of the other walkers
