Turn the music up. Turn the kindness up.

A 24-hour, music-driven dance event supporting Expedition Limitless in their quest to raise £200,000 for Rebecca House and The Children’s Centre.

Date and time: Friday 20 February 2026 (6pm) to Saturday 21 February 2026 (6pm)

Choose how you want to take part

You don’t need to be a dancer. If you can tap your toes, sway in your seat, join a simple routine, or chair-dance with friends, you’re in.

Hospice Danceathon 2026

Option 1: Become a 24-hour Hero

Take on the full 24 hours as an endurance challenge and help keep the dancefloor moving through the night.

Aim to be on or near the dancefloor for at least 50 minutes of every hour (with planned rest breaks)
Set up a personal fundraising page on the Danceathon’s fundraising platform
Suggested minimum fundraising commitment: £500

Best for: Challenge-lovers, fitness communities, and anyone who wants to go all-in.

Option 2: Enter the 12-hour Corporate Challenge (teams)

Bring colleagues or club members together for the overnight push: 6pm to 6am.

Teams register in groups of four
Flexible rotation rules: The goal is to keep someone from your team dancing at all times
Team fundraising minimum: £750 per team (via fundraising and/or employer match funding)
Only team 20 places available!

Best for: Workplaces, sports clubs, gyms, dance schools, and community groups.

Option 3: Book a Drop-In Dance Slot (public)

Join any of the themed blocks for a brilliant night out (or daytime dance-in).

Ticket prices (per 3-hour slot):

Adults: £10
Under-18s: £5

You can also come as a non-dancing supporter (clap, cheer, chair-dance, keep spirits high) at the same ticket price.

Option 4: Join as a virtual dancer

Can’t get to Douglas? Pledge to dance at home for three hours during a chosen time block and donate online.

Put on your playlist and dance in your kitchen or living room
Share a photo/video and help us keep the momentum going

What to expect on the day

We’re building the Step Up Danceathon around themed sessions across the 24 hours, with a short break between blocks. If you’re entering as a Team, you'll automatically be entered into the Opening Night Fever and Glow in the Dark sessions, taking place from 6pm on Friday 20^th February to 6am on Saturday 21^st February. If you’re entering as an Individual, you can book a three-hour block in any of the sessions.

18:00-24:00 – Opening Night Fever (launch moment)
24:00 – 06:00 – Glow in the Dark (neon, late-night energy)
06:00 – 09:00 – Sunrise Stretch and Step (gentler, uplifting)
09:00 – 12:00 – Throwback Bangers and Dance Diversity (nostalgia + mixed styles)
12:00 – 15:00 – Mini Ravers for Big Causes (family-friendly fun)
15:00 – 18:00 – Big Finish: All Requests (finale celebration)

Keeping it accessible, inclusive and safe

Any movement counts: full dancing, swaying, line-dancing, chair-dancing.
You don’t have to dance non-stop. The goal is to keep the floor moving and the atmosphere warm.
Safeguarding, first aid and event stewards will be in place throughout.
Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian during their session.
